Active leak or open roof

Emergency Roof Repair in Northeast Georgia

Water coming in? Call us now. Tell us where you see it, and we’ll tell you when we can get there and what the emergency visit will cost.

What to do now

Protect people first.

Stay off the roof. Start with these steps from inside or from the ground.

  1. Step 1

    Move people away

Keep everyone out of rooms with active water, a bulging ceiling, or damage from a fallen tree.

  2. Step 2

    Protect what you can

If it’s safe, move valuables and put a container under the drip. Stay away from wet lights and outlets.

  3. Step 3

Take photos from a safe place

Take a few photos or a short video from the ground and inside the home. Keep any receipts for temporary protection.

We highly recommend Denali Roofing. They repaired and reroofed our home after a tree fell on it from Hurricane Helene. From the start to finish, they were very informative and delivered top notch service.

Emergency pricing isn’t a blank check.

Before anyone heads your way, we tell you the emergency callout fee and what the first visit includes.

What will I pay for the emergency visit?

For after-hours calls, you know the callout fee before we leave for your home. Once we see the damage, we explain what it will take to cover the opening and what that work costs before we start.

Do I have to hire Denali for the full repair?

No. You can hire us for the emergency tarp only. We photograph what we find, cover the opening, and leave the permanent repair decision with you.

The tarp does not lock you into the full repair

Should I call insurance first?

If water is still coming in, protect the house first. We photograph the roof before and after the tarp so you have a record for your carrier.

Know when to call

Call when you see one of these problems

If water is coming in, part of the roof is open, or a tree hit the house, start here instead of waiting for a routine inspection.

Water dripping from a large brown stain in a residential ceiling

Active ceiling drip or waterfall

If water is dripping through the ceiling, it has already made it through the roof. Move people and valuables out of the area, then call.

Storm-torn porch roof with exposed framing and a bent gutter

Visible open section of roof after a storm

A gap in the shingles or exposed wood gives rain a way in. A temporary tarp can protect the house until the roof can be repaired.

Residential roof with broken branches and widespread shingle damage after a storm

Tree impact on roof or ridge

A tree can damage shingles, decking, and framing. Stay off the roof and keep everyone out of the rooms below the impact.

Roof flashing lifted away from a brick chimney

Broken skylight or flashing failure

A broken skylight or loose flashing around a chimney or vent can let in a lot of water fast.

Questions homeowners ask

Emergency roof repair questions

Clear answers when water is coming in or part of the roof is open.

How fast can you respond?

It depends on how far your home is from the available crew. During storms, we handle calls in the order we receive them. Call with your address and what you’re seeing, and we’ll give you our best arrival estimate.

Is temporary tarping covered by insurance?

Coverage depends on your policy and insurance company. We take before-and-after photos for your records, but we cannot predict what your carrier will cover.

Can I tarp it myself?

No. Stay off any wet, open, or storm-damaged roof. A roofer can inspect the opening and secure a temporary tarp. You do not have to put yourself at risk.

Do I need to call my insurance company right away?

Call your insurance company as soon as you can. Do not delay getting everyone safe or calling a roofer to protect the opening. Take photos from the ground or indoors if it is safe, and check your policy for any reporting deadline.
